Do not stop in Norfork, Arkansas either. The KKK is active there and they are even more dangerous because not a lot of people know it. The KKK has members who are a part of the police force and even in the local school. My mum applied for a job at the school there and after they told us she got the job we received an anonymous letter from a person who claimed to be a part of the KKK that advised her against taking the job and graphically described what they would do to my father and my brother and me.

Do not stop in Norfork, Arkansas. It is very dangerous. And the local members are violent and smart.
This is actually why the Green Book was a thing, for Black travelers to know where it was a safe place to stop….too bad the movie they made called The Green Book didn’t illustrate that….
